Define which users and services can read or change data. Consider least-privilege roles, authentication requirements, and explicit approval for consequential actions.
Inventory the information involved, minimize what is sent to model providers, and agree on storage, retention, deletion, and data-location requirements.
Evaluate prompt injection, untrusted retrieved content, unexpected tool calls, and cross-user information exposure using representative adversarial cases.
Agree on logging, alerting, backups, dependency maintenance, incident responsibilities, and the ability to disable automated actions.
No architectural pattern alone establishes that a system is secure. A project should have a documented threat model, implementation review, and testing proportionate to the data and actions involved. Additional independent assessment may be needed.
Provider data-use terms, hosting configuration, and contractual obligations should be checked against the actual deployment. Requirements that cannot be met should be surfaced before sensitive data is introduced.
